Hi! I'm Lauren, The Pediatric Dietitian
I have always been passionate about using food and nutrition to connect with others. I started The Pediatric Dietitian to communicate evidence-based information to parents in a way that’s easy to understand!
I studied nutrition and child development at The University of Texas at Austin, and completed my dietetic internship at the University of Houston. My previous work has included acute care, outpatient nutrition counseling, and working with kids to improve their cooking skills. I truly believe food can help empower children, and that their relationship with food as a child can have a lasting impact on their life.
My Goals
Increase RD accessibility
Many parents and their children don't have affordable access to a Registered Dietitian. With this online platform, nutrition information from a dietitian is more accessible than ever.
Give parents peace of mind
The responsibility of your child's nutrition can be overwhelming. That's why we provide the answers to all of your questions in one place.
Give children food freedom
Having clear and concise information about your child's nutrition can help give them more freedom around food. Less restriction mentality and more of food being fun!
